'I killed him for money and for a woman. I didn't get the money. And I didn't get the woman.'
Constantinos Taliotis is exhibitinng a new, large-scale installation, at ROOMS 2009 at St George Lycabetus Hotel in Athens (26/11 - 13/12). Borrowing its title from Billy Wilder's 1944 film 'Double Indemnity', this work by Constantinos Taliotis extends the development of the artist's interest in the visual and and spatial parameters of disaster scenarios via the acute experiantial shifts which result from a film-noir influenced psychology of fear, without compromising however the absurdly comic and performative elements that characterise Taliotis' work.
